The Takfiri terrorists were pushed back from Al-Sokn Al-Shababi district in the Northeastern parts of the Aleppo city. The Syrian troops also gained control over several other parts of the city after tough battles on Monday. Also, the Syrian Armed Forces stormed the hideouts of foreign-backed militants in Aleppo province, killing and injuring a large number of them. The army soldiers inflicted major losses on the rebels in the nearby areas of Aleppo, leaving scores of them dead and injured in al-Tal Hattabat, Bayanun, al-Jaddoul, Qabasin, al-Amryeh, Kurum Aziza, al-Tamoura, Hreitan, Hanano and Mayir. Also in the past 24 hours, the Syrian Army continued to make more gains in its fight against Takfiri militants in Idlib province. The Syrian troops stormed the hideouts of the rebels in the areas of Mhabal, Halouz, al-Tanjara, Balshoun, Kfar Lata, Sarmeen, and Arbaeen in the nearby areas of Idlib, and claimed the lives of a large number of the rebels. Also, the militants suffered major losses in the area of Tal Shehab, as the Syrian Army made major advances in Alma town in Daraa. Meantime, the militants sustained heavy toll in al-Hamidyeh, Qunaitera, al-Samadaniyeh and al-Gharbiyeh, as the army gained more ground on the outskirts of Quneitra. Also, the Syrian troops clashed with foreign-backed militants in surrounding areas of Hama province, and claimed the lives of too many of them. The army soldiers made major advances against the armed group in Hama, North of Damascus, and managed to inflict major casualties on the rebels. Meantime, the insurgents' strongholds came under the heavy fire of the army in al-Tallah and al-Mahja areas in the countryside of Deir Ezzur. The operation left too many militants dead and a number of their vehicles destroyed. Elsewhere, Kurdish fighters made gains against ISIL terrorists in the Syrian town of Kobani overnight. Activists on the ground report that Kurdish forces have advanced in the East and Northeast of the strategic city. "At least 18 ISIL militants were killed in the fighting, as well as a number of Kurdish fighters," the so-called Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said. Kurdish forces have been battling ISIL terrorists since they launched their assault on Kobani over three months ago. The conflict in Syria started in March 2011, when sporadic pro-reform protests turned into a massive insurgency following the intervention of western and regional states. The unrest, which took in terrorist groups from across Europe, the Middle-East and North Africa, has transpired as one of the bloodiest conflicts in recent history. As the foreign-backed insurgency in Syria continues without an end in sight, the US government has boosted its political and military support to Takfiri extremists.
