Die ersten zehn Jahre meines Lebens verbrachte ich in Libanon, dann wanderten wir aus nach Australien, was meine Verbindung zum Mittleren Osten zu einem abrupten Ende führte.Heute bin ich 22 Jahre alt. Mit unserer Auswanderung endete auch die Verbindung zu meiner Religion vollständig. Alles, was ich weiß, ist, dass ich Muslimah bin. Das war's.Ich habe keine Ahnung, wie der Qur'an aussieht, ich weiß nicht, wie man betet; Religion spielt in meinem Leben nicht die geringste Rolle. Meine Eltern haben sich scheiden lassen und sind beide bereits wieder verheiratet, während ich zur Universität ging. Irgendwann verließen meine Eltern Australien wieder und ließen mich zurück ohne Familie, ohne Brüder und Schwestern. Ich weiß nichts über meine libanesische Herkunft. Ich lebte allein und musste für meinen Unterhalt sorgen. Morgens ging ich zur Universität, abends arbeitete ich in einer Bar. Ich habe einen Freund und sicherlich gibt es keine Sünde, die ich nicht allzu bereitwillig begangen habe.Ich bin zu hundert Prozent verwestlicht, ich kann ein bisschen Arabisch, und weil ich hübsch anzusehen bin, habe ich mich bei einem neuseeländischen Schönheitswettbewerb angemeldet und auch gewonnen. Ich habe sogar noch geplant, an einem Bierwettbewerb teilzunehmen. Derzeit arbeite ich als Model für einige Magazine.Von Zeit zu Zeit besuche ich eine libanesische Familie in Australien und dort sah ich eine Ramadan-Sendung über Anstand und Moral. Während der Sendung wurde auch die Internetadresse eingeblendet. Ich war einem Nervenzusammenbruch nahe, die Sendung schien mich direkt anzusprechen. Ich schreibe dir diese Email um zu fragen, ob es Allah möglich ist, mich zu akzeptieren, mit anderen Worten: mir zu verzeihen?"Hier endet Saras Email. Subhanallah!Egal wie tief der Iman gesunken ist, die Seele eines Menschen verlangt nach ihrem Schöpfer. So wie der Magen nach etwas Essbaren ruft, so ruft die Seele nach Allah. Der Prediger schrieb ihr zurück und erläuterte ihr die Bedingungen für eine aufrichtige Reue und dass Allah ihr in dem Fall natürlich verzeihen wird.Zwei Tage später schreibt sie den Imam wieder an:„Ich bin zu Allah zurückgekehrt. Ich habe meinen Freund verlassen und versprochen, ihn nie wieder zu sehen."Wieder zwei Tage später schreibt sie:„Ich möchte das Gebet lernen."Nochmal zwei Tage später:„Ich hätte gerne ein paar Qur'ankassetten.", und so schickt er ihr welche per DHL.Eine Woche verstreicht, ohne dass er etwas von ihr hört. Dann schreibt sie ihn wieder an und sagt ihm, dass sie den Titel als schönste Frau der Stadt abgelegt hat, nur um ihm kurz danach mitzuteilen, dass sie jetzt Hijab trägt.Aber die Geschichte ist noch nicht zu Ende.Zwei Tage nachdem sie angefangen hat, Hijab zu tragen, fühlt sie plötzlich einen stechenden Schmerz und geht zum Arzt. Die Diagnose: Gehirntumor. Ihr bleiben vielleicht nur noch wenige Tage. Sie wird ins Krankenhaus eingeliefert für eine Operation, deren Erfolgschancen nach Auskunft der australischen Ärzte vielleicht bei 20% liegen.Aber was Sara betrifft, hier ist was sie dazu zu sagen hat:„Ich freue mich darauf, Allah gegenüberzustehen. Und ich freue mich, dass ich mich besonnen habe und umgekehrt bin, bevor ich von meiner Krankheit erfahren habe. Ich weiß nicht, ob meine Mutter oder mein Vater über meine Situation Bescheid wissen. Sollte ich noch weiterleben, werde ich deine Website unterstützen, denn sie ist im Endeffekt mein Fenster zur Welt des Islam."Wahrlich, wir gehören Allah und zu Ihm kehren wir zurück.Möge Allah Sara barmherzig sein, die im Alter von 22 Jahren verstarb.Sie wurde in Neuseeland auf einem muslimischen Friedhof beigesetzt. Kurz vor ihrem Tod schrieb sie den Imam noch diesen Brief:„Ich habe 22 Jahre meines Lebens weit weg von meinem Herrn verbracht, aber ich bereute es aufrichtig und kehrte erst vor drei Wochen zurück zu Allah. Außer dir und diesem Internetforum kenne ich nicht viele Muslime. Ich bitte dich eindringlich, Du'a für mich zu machen, dass Allah mir barmherzig ist und mir verzeiht. Mach Du'a, dass Allah meine Mutter rechtleitet, denn sie weiß nichts über mich.Gez.
