    Muhammad (saw) legte großen Wert auf die Spiele der Kinder und spielte manchmal sogar mit ihnen. Mit dem Ausspruch „Wer Kinder hat, soll mit ihnen spielen", empfahl er den Eltern ihre Kinder zu unterhalten, mit ihnen zu spielen. Des Weiteren legte er den Menschen nahe, Kindern das Schwimmen, Rennen, Reiten und andere Sportarten beizubringen. Er sprach fortwährend Duâ (Bittgebete) für die Neugeborenen, für seine Kinder, seine Enkelkinder und für die Kinder seiner Gefährten. Wenn er sie in die Arme nahm oder ihnen beim Spielen zusah, bat er Gott um ein langes, gesegnetes Leben, Wissen, Weisheit und Îmân (Glauben) für sie.

    Ibnul Qayyim sagte:

    "Und das sich "Selbst-hassen" gehört zu den Eigenschaften des Ehrlichen. Und in einer einzelnen Sekunde bringt es dem Diener oftmals näher zu Allah als es jede Tat oder Handlung tun würde."

    Im gleichen Kapitel vom Buch 'Ighathat al-Lahfan,' berichtet er von Al-Jariri:

    Mir wurde von einem Anliegen eines Mannes der Kinder Israels erzählt, der eine Angelegenheit von Allah swt erfüllt haben wollte. So beschäftigte er sich mit der fortwährenden Anbetung zu Allah swt und bat ihn darauf um sein Anliegen. Als er bemerkte, dass seine Bitte nicht erfüllt wurde, begann er damit sich selbst zu tadeln und sprach: "Oh du Selbst! Was ist mit dir, dass davon abhält dein Anliegen erfüllt zu bekommen?"

    Und er verbrachte traurig die Nacht damit sich selbst zur Rechenschaft zu ziehen und sprach: "Bei Allah, das Problem ist nicht bei meinem Herrn, sondern bei mir selbst." Und er verblieb in diesem "sich selbst zur Rechenschaft ziehenden Status" bis sein Anliegen schlussendlich erfüllt wurde.
