Yeñiçeri) zur "Fetvâhâne" (Haus der Fatâwâ) erklärt. Die İnschrift ist von Keçecizâde İzzet Molla, die Kalligraphie von Yesârîzâde Muṣṭafâ Efendi. Möge der Sulṭân immer an der Scharî'â festhalten. Wir müssten dem Staube unter seinen Füßen dankbar sein. Die großen Gelehrten, welche Juwelen ähneln, sagen "Sulṭân Maḥmûd gab uns dieses Tor". Dafür muss man beide Sprachen (die Originale, und die in die überzetzt wird) einwandfrei beherrschen können.
