    Abu Huraira, Allahs Wohlgefallen auf ihm, berichtete, dass der Gesandte Allahs, Allahs Segen und Friede auf ihm, sagte: „Das Fasten ist (für den Menschen) ein Schutz so soll er (während des Fastens) weder Schändlichkeit noch Torheit begehen und wenn jemand ihn zum Zweikampf auffordert oder beschimpft, soll er ihm zweimal sagen: „Ich faste." Ich schwöre bei Dem, in Dessen Hand mein Leben ist, dass der Geruch aus dem Mund eines Fastenden bei Allah besser ist als Moschus. Allah sagte: „Er (der Fastende) stellt Meinetwegen sein Essen und Trinken sowie seine Begierde ein. Das Fasten ist Mir gewidmet, und Ich belohne entsprechend und jede gute Tat wird gleichermaßen zehnfach belohnt."

    علامہ امام ابن قیم اپنی کتاب ، کتاب الروح میں حضرت ابو الحسن مطلی خطیب مسجد نبوی (S.A.W.W) سے نقل کرتے ہیں کہ وہ فرماتے ہیں کہ میں نے مدینہ طیبہ میں ایک عجیب واقعہ دیکھا کہ ایک شخص مدینہ شریف میں حضرت ابوبکر R.A اور حضرت عمر R.A کو گالیاں دیا کرتا تھا، ہم ایک دن صبح کی بماز پڑھہ کر بیٹھے تھے وہ شخص ہمارے سامنے آیا، جس کی دونوں آنکھیں باہر نکل کر اس کے گالوں تک لٹک رہی تھیں۔ ہم نے اس سے بڑے تعجب سے کہا کہ یہ تیری کیا حالت ہے؟؟ وہ کہنے لگا، آج رات کو خواب میں ، میں نے آنحضرت (S.A.W.W)کی زیارت کی ہے، میں نے دیکھا کہ آپ (S.A.W.W) کے پاس حضرت ابوبکر R.A اور حضرت عمر R.A اور حضرت علی R.A موجود ہیں۔
