So hat er vor rund einem Jahr in der Region Aleppo im Nordwesten Syriens einen medizinischen Stützpunkt wiederaufgebaut: Im Medical Point Lindau in der Ortschaft Tkad haben ein syrischer Arzt und weiteres Fachpersonal Einheimischen und Flüchtlingen geholfen. Jetzt ist ein Umzug erforderlich geworden, schildert Wahhoud, der Anfang Juni wieder für einige Tage nach Syrien geflogen war: Der Medical Point Lindau setze seine wichtige Arbeit am neuen Standort in Khan Al Assal in Kreis Aleppo fort. Täglich zwischen 60 und 90 Patienten kommen nach Wahhouds Worten vorbei, wenn die kleine Ambulanz – mit einem Arzt, zwei Krankenschwestern und zwei weiteren Beschäftigten – ihre Türen öffnet. Lindauer Spenden ermöglichen es dabei, für die Behandlungen notwendige Medikamente in Syrien zu kaufen. Foto: privat
