    Imam Bucharyy

    Imam Bukhari (194-256 n.H.)[1]
    Sein Name lautet Muhammad bin Ismail bin Ibrahim bin Al-Mughira Al-Bukhari Al-Ju'fi, er wurde auch Abu Abdullah genannt.

    Er ist in Buchara am Freitag, den 11. Shawal 194 n.H. geboren. Daher kommt auch sein Name al-Bukhari Dies bedeutet „der aus Buchara". Er wuchs als Halbwaise auf, denn sein Vater starb, als Al-Bukhari noch ein kleines Kind war. Auch verlor er in frühen Jahren sein Augenlicht. Seine Mutter betete daraufhin viel für ihren Sohn. Eines Nachts sah sie den Propheten Ibrahim (alayhis salam) im Traum, der zu ihr sagte: „Allah hat deinem Sohn sein Augenlicht wiedergegeben wegen deiner vielen Bittgebete."

    Abu Jafar Muhammad bin Abi Hatem Al-Warraq berichtete, dass Imam Al-Bukhari ihm erzählte, wie er mit dem Lernen der Ahadith angefangen hat. Bukhari sagte: „Ich habe bereits angefangen, Ahadith auswendig zu lernen, als ich noch bei den Kuttab war (damalige Grundschule) – damals war ich 10 Jahre alt oder noch jünger. Mit 16 Jahren kannte ich die Bücher von Ibn Al-Mubarak und Waki'[2], ihre Ansichten und ihre Aussagen auswendig. Gemeinsam mit meiner Mutter und meinem Bruder Ahmad bin ich nach Makka gereist, um dort Ahadith zu lernen. Mit 18 Jahren habe ich angefangen, über die Prophetengefährten und die Tabi'un zu schreiben, was in das Buch At-Tarikh al-Kabir („Die große Biographien Geschichte") mündete… Es kam selten vor, dass es eine Person gab, über die ich nichts erzählen konnte, aber ich habe nicht alle erwähnt, damit das Buch nicht zu dick wird."[3]

    Muhammad ibn Ismail al-Bukhari hat seine Zeit nur mit Wissenserwerb und Gottesdienst verbracht. Er besaß außergewöhnlich viel Schamgefühl, Mut, Großzügigkeit, Freigiebigkeit und Gottesfurcht. Für ihn bedeutete das Diesseits nichts, sondern er hatte große Hoffnung auf das Jenseits.
    Er pflegte oft freiwillig zu fasten, viel freiwillig in der Nacht zu beten und Koran zu lesen, besonders im gesegneten Monat Ramadan.
    Es wird berichtet, dass er selbst jeden Tag den Koran einmal durchlas.[4]

    Einmal wurde er von einer großen Hornisse siebzehn Mal gestochen, während er betete. Erst nach dem Gebet sagte er: „Schaut mal, was mir während des Gebets passiert ist." Da sahen seine Gefährten die Hornisse und die siebzehn Hornissenstiche.

    Sein starkes Gedächtnis

    Hashed bin Ismail berichtet: „Als Abu Abdullah Muhammad bin Ismail Al-Bukhari noch ein kleiner Junge war, saß er mit uns bei den Hadith Gelehrten von Basra, schrieb aber nichts nieder (von dem, was sie sagten). Wir fragten ihn: „Was hat es für einen Sinn, dass du mit dabei bist aber nicht mitschreibst?" Sechzehn Tage später antwortete er, nachdem wir ihn gedrängt hatten: „Ihr habt mir keine Ruhe gelassen, also zeigt mir, was ihr aufgeschrieben habt." Wir hatten ungefähr fünfzehntausend Ahadith aufgeschrieben. Er hat sie uns alle auswendig vorgetragen und wir haben sogar unsere nach seiner Lesung korrigiert. Dann sagte er: „Meint ihr immer noch, dass ich meine Zeit verschwende?" Da haben wir erkannt, dass keiner besser sein wird als er.

    Die Leute von Basra sind oft hinter ihm her gerannt, um ihn zum Sitzen zu bringen, damit er ihnen Ahadith vorliest. Dann haben sich viele um ihn versammelt und mitgeschrieben, was er berichtete, obwohl ihm damals noch kein Bart gewachsen war – d. h., dass er noch sehr jung war.

    Noch ein Beweis dafür, dass er ein sehr gutes Gedächtnis hatte, ist die folgende Begebenheit, die sich in Samarkand ereignete:
    Dort versammelten sich 400 Hadithgelehrte und vertauschten die Überlieferungsketten von den Ahadith derart, dass sie anschließend viele Ahadith mit falschen Überlieferungsketten hatten, die sie Imam al-Bukhari zur Prüfung vortrugen. Daraufhin korrigierte er alle Ahadith, so dass jeder Hadith am Ende wieder seine richtige Überlieferungskette hatte. Dasselbe passierte auch in Bagdad, wo er eine derartige Prüfung wiederum bestand. Es wurde erzählt, dass er nur einmal ein Buch lesen brauchte, um es auswendig zu können.[5]

    Seine Lehrer und Schüler

    Imam Bukhari hat von ungefähr eintausend Gelehrten – zu denen er selbst gereist ist – Ahadith überliefert. Etwa genauso viele Schüler hatte er auch.

    Zu seinen bedeutendsten Lehrern zählen Hammad bin Shaker, Imam Ahmad bin Hanbal und Yahya bin Mai'in.

    Zu denen, die von ihm Ahadith hörten und weitergaben, gehören:

    Imam Muslim (er führte diese Überlieferungen nicht in seinem relativ kurz gehaltenen Sahih Werk auf)
    Imam Tirmidhi (in seinem Jami')
    Imam an-Nasa'i (in einem Teil der Überlieferungsfassungen von seinen Sunan)
    Abu Hatim und viele andere

    Sein Tod

    Die letzten Tage seines Lebens verbrachte Imam Al-Bukhari bei einigen seiner Verwandten in einem Dorf, welches ca. 1 km von Samarkand entfernt war.
    Dort bat er Allah, dass Er ihn zu Sich nehmen möge wegen der vielen Fitan[6], die er miterleben musste, und vor denen der Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) oft bei Allah Zuflucht gesucht hat.[7]

    In der Nacht von Id-ul-Fitr, dem Fest am Ende des Ramadan, ist er nach dem Isha'-Gebet zu Allah zurückgekehrt. Für ihn wurde das Totengebet am nächsten Tag nach dem Mittagsgebet gebetet. Möge Allah mit Imam Al-Bukhari barmherzig sein und ihn reichlich belohnen für das, was er für die Menschheit getan hat.
